Leslie Birdwell Pursley

I began my musical journey like so many other artists—early in life. From school choir to church choir, and through various vocal groups, I stayed active all the way through college. Over the years, I’ve performed with a variety of local bands and at venues throughout my career.

What are my influences?
My love for a wide range of music stems from my family. Each member had their own favorite style, and from an early age, I was exposed to them all. Take most genres you're familiar with, cup them in your hands, shake them up, and drop them on the floor—whatever lands has probably influenced me in some way.

Why Leslie Birdwell Pursley?
I have strong family ties, and I honor them by using my full name—paying tribute to both my parents and my married name.

Yes, I’m married—to Bart Pursley, the man behind the music. He’s been my studio engineer, producer, manager, and truly, my everything. Thanks to his career in the Nashville music industry, I’ve been blessed to work with some of the city's best musicians and singers on my album.
